Refute

To refute means: "to demonstrate a clash with something already known, even if only with the law of non contradiction."

For instance, consider someone claiming there is a "round square" behind Venus. If you argue that such a concept contradicts the very laws of logic, and the claimant responds that you need a higher perspective to understand the round square, you cannot refute this claim. It defies logical principles and cannot be processed cognitively.
